Florinda Marques - President / Academic Coordenator

Florinda Marques (B.A. in English/Portuguese & M.A. in English Grammar) has been an English teacher for more than 30 years.  She has always been interested in teacher education and development, and is presently a professor for the English Translation and Methodology post-graduation course at PUC PR. As an enthusiastic member of BRAZ-TESOL, a presenter at national and international events, and the co-founder of the BRAZ-TESOL Regional Chapter Curitiba, she has helped create many opportunities for the advancement of ELT profession.  She is also the general coordinator for the Regional Interest Groups.

Rosa Figueiredo Silva - Treasurer

Rosa Figueiredo (B.A. in English/Portuguese at Mackenzie University) has always been involved with ELT. She worked with translation for tourist guides, and at the Exchange Department at Banco do Brasil in SP.

She was one of the associate-directors of Blue Cap Escola de Idiomas and a representative (with Florinda Marques) of EF Exchange Programs in Curitiba.

Member of Curitiba Chapter since its foundation (1998), she has participated in the organization of many events including the Southern Cone 2001 and 2011. Nowadays, she is the treasurer.

Ramon Pereira Moravski - First Secretary / EduTech RIG Coordinator

Ramon Pereira Moravski has been teaching English for eight years. He is currently an English teacher at Cultura Inglesa Curitiba.  His interests involve technology effectiveness in second language learning and teacher training.

Denise Akemi Hibarino - Advisory Council / Academic Coordinator

Denise Akemi  Hibarino  (MA-UFPr) has been teaching English for the last  fourteen years. She’s currently an English professor at Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná (UTP) and at Faculdade de Administração, Ciências, Educação e Letras (FACEL).  Her interests in the area of Applied Linguistics involve teacher development, methodology, bilingualism, culture and critical literacy
